Our goals
At Street Smart Kids we believe that every kid can benefit from the life lessons of those who came before them. Street Smart Kids is a life awareness opportunity that will enable kids to grow up to be not only smarter but generally more content and appreciative of their own lives. They will discover their own potential. They will not be told what to think but rather offered ideas on how to think!. This will help make them see things from different perspectives and grow as individuals along the way. Three very important goals for all Street Smart Kids are:
1. Build self confidence
2. Improve ability to make good decisions
3. Learn to respect themselves and others
Typically, kids learn from their parents, their teachers, the media, their friends and their friend’s parents. Not having had too many real life experiences of their own, kids can benefit greatly from the real life experiences, success and failures of those who grew up before them. We believe that kids actually respond best when they think they have discovered some great truth on their own and that sometimes hearing the same old thing from a non-threatening source can make the difference. Street Smart Kids provides the opportunity for kids to learn some of life’s most important lessons from a compelling outside influence – setting the stage for their own “discovery” of truth and self esteem.
All of our programs are based on these goals and are designed to keep kids "thinking" long after they leave the room.
